Haycorn
The BusyBody
Haycorn is disarming, he’s cute and he’s sweet, He’s quiet, seems thoughtful and likely discreet,
With a grin and a nod and a glint of his eye, You’ll be tempted to share your life with this guy.
But you would do well to remember the rule, that Sometimes the info we share is a tool.
This fellow will blab how you sing in the shower, and that spot on your face that you picked for an hour,
what you mutter ‘bout mother when you hang up the phone, and all of the things one does when alone.
Yes, even that cookie you can’t admit that you ate, or that smell that you made when you weren‘t feeling great,
All of those secrets he can’t wait to share, That‘s what that look means, that flash and that stare...
Sometimes we misread a bright smiling face for a trustworthy friend that you want to embrace,
In the case of this fellow, no secrets’ secure, that charming big smile is only a lure.
So beware and forearmed what you share with this elf he’ll bare witness and tell all, just to prop up himself.
Faerie folk and their gossip are truly the worst, Before you do anything, check who’s watching first!
