Willa

THE WILD CHILD

I begin each piece with the skull, and insert the eyes and make them look where I want and set them in place. Every single time I get it how I want it I think it's a shame to even cover them with clay, eyes are so incredibly expressive! Wide eyes are indicative of shock or fear and Willa's lovely brown eyes just stared at me begging for kindness and understanding. I knew I needed to make her a furtive, cautious being. She became a wild fairy girl, raised in the underbrush not trusting
